W5 has been completely rewritten, combining the best of the current Microsoft technologies
with our groundbreaking Rapid Application Development framework. This is a major
step forward in the claims management and processing arena.
Taking the distinctly different approach of developing both rich client technology
and web based mobility, W5 has evolved into a claims workforce "power toolkit" that
offers the most advanced, scalable and easy to use claims handling software.
Here is some of what W5 can do.
Basic Claim Data
- Client claim number and client contact details. In the case of subscription policies all clients and client contacts.
- All parties name, address, contact details. This includes parties such as Insured, Claimant, Witness, Defending Counsel, Opposing Counsel, Doctor, Expert and any other type you want.
- Basic policy and coverage information.
- Description and date/time of loss.
- Other details such as date reported, received, billed, closed, reopened, next report date, type of loss, line of business, etc.
Custom Data
- Define any number of custom data forms "Eforms" to hold custom fields
- Custom fields can hold user definable codes
- Add any number of Eforms onto claim files.
Notes
- Record and import notes.
- Generate notes from file actions such as assign, acknowledge, close, reopen, change reserves, etc.
- Email notes.
Documents
- Upload and scan documents, pictures, faxes, estimate files, etc. onto claims as attachments onto claims
- Upload email attachments as attachments onto claims.
- Open, download, copy claim attachments.
- Share documents from the document library.
- Share documents among multiple claim files on a claim.
- Email documents as email attachments or as download links
Document Library
- Maintain a library of documents for use by internal staff and outside contractors and clients
- Organize the documents however you need them such as by type, client, etc.
- Secure documents for use by specific groups of users.
- Library documents can be attached onto a claim as a new copy or can be attached as a link.
- Securely create documents using W5 templates even over the Internet. This includes Microsoft Word and Excel (and you don’t need to run the products on your web server)
Emails
- Manage your email from within W5.
- Send and receive emails.
- Organize emails and attachments.
- Attach emails to claims files.
- Instantly convert email attachments into documents attached to a claim file.
Reserves
- Record coverage limit, coinsurance, valuation type, etc.
- Record financial transactions in multiple currencies such as set/adjust reserve, payment, recovery, set/adjust deductible, apply deductible.
- Enforce financial rules.
- Define reserve methodologies to accommodate strict or loose enforcement for different client requirements.
- Produce reserve worksheets complete with financial audit trail

Billing

- Automatically generate contract adjuster "payable" reports and accounting transmissions based upon vendor rate schedules. The amounts due can be tied to client invoice paid status.
- Automatically generate accounts receivable transmissions
- Reprint, review and cancel invoices at any time
- Produce LEDES electronic billing submissions
- Integrate with accounting systems such as Intuit QuickBooks and Microsoft Great Plains
Diary
- Record appointments, reminders, "to do" items, notifications for claim file activity.
